The Sony Xperia Z Tablet UK release date is officially set for the end of May, according to what a Sony UK spokesperson told Xperia Blog, and not mid-April, as the pre-order page on the Sony Store might have led customers to believe.
Although the British Sony Store had an estimated delivery date for pre-ordered Xperia Z Tablets of April 12, Sony says that it was a “glitch” and that the end of May was always the planned Sony Xperia Tablet Z UK launch date. The same representative also added that customers would be informed of the delivery date.
Three models are available for pre-order: the 16GB and 32GB Wi-Fi models, at £399 and £449, respectively, as well as the 16GB 4G LTE model at £499. The Wi-Fi model has recently paid a visit to the FCC, so there is hope for it to come to the U.S. soon.
UK retailer Clove has also put the Xperia Z Tablet up for pre-order, promising a delivery date of May 20 for the 4G LTE version of the tablet, at a price of £499.
