Samsung Galaxy Tab S SM-T800 shown off in more photos, this time by the FCC

Just last week got our first look at the Galaxy Tab S SM-T800, a 10.5-inch tablet with an AMOLED display. Shortly after this, we also learned it would be one of three new tablets, including a 8.4-inch and 13.3-inch variant. It seems the new tablets just can’t stay out of the news, as the 10.5-inch tablet has now passed its way through the FCC, posing for several new photographs along the way.

It’s certainly not common to see detailed photos attached within the FCC reports, though we aren’t complaining. In addition to the photos, the FCC info also confirms the tablet will have a 10.5-inch screen as previously believed. It’s also worth noting that this is the Wi-Fi only model of the SM-T800, though a 3G/4G model is also reportedly in the works.

So what else can we expect from the tablet? Turning to previous rumors and reports, the Tab S is said to be powered by an octa-core Exynos 5420 with 3GB RAM. Other specs include a resolution of 2560×1600, 2MP front cam, 8MP rear cam with LED flash, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, GPS/Glonass, an IR blaster and Android 4.4 KitKat with Samsung’s Magazine UX.

While we seem to know a fair share about the tablet’s specs, what’s less clear is when Samsung plans to unveil it. Now that the device has popped up in several images (twice!), as well as in plenty of other leaks, it’s likely only a matter of time before Samsung takes the wraps off the Galaxy Tab S series. Either way, we’ll be sure to keep an eye out for more details as they arrive, so stay tuned to Android Authority.

What do you think of the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and the other Tab S family members, based on what we currently know? Excited, indifferent?
