Though some of the recent reports involving Samsung’s upcoming line of tablets have been a bit confusing, things are starting to clear up. We’re still not 100% sure how many new slates Sammy will bring to light during Q1 2013, but the Note 8.0, Tab 3 10.1 and Tab 3 Plus seem set in stone.
Yes, that’s right, the Tab 3 Plus too, although we did have some trouble believing Samsung will be unveiling two 10-inchers practically at the same time. Why are we so certain this big guy is coming? Simply because there’s usually no smoke without fire in the Android décor, and when it comes to this Tab 3 Plus there’s already a big, thick cloud of smoke.
The latest story involving the slate comes from an old and reliable source of ours, TechKiddy, who’s got ahold of an AnTuTu benchmark starring the GT-P8200. The test “confirms” big chunks of the spec sheet, including a 1.7 GHz Exynos 5 Dual CPU, Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean, and a 2,560 x 1,600 pix res 10-inch panel.
That’s all nice and dandy, but at the same time it’s exactly what the Google-Samsung Nexus 10 is rocking. Then again, something has to be different, because this Galaxy Tab 3 Plus has supposedly scored a 13,377 in AnTuTu, while the Nexus 10 is unable to go above the 9,000 points mark.
So will there be a snappier quad-core processor inside Samsung’s future tablet after all? Or is the leaked AnTuTu benchmark all screwed up? No idea, but we should hear all about the Galaxy Tab 3 Plus come MWC in February. Who’s excited?
