If you’re on T-Mobile and are sporting one of Samsung’s 2016 flagship devices, then your Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge just got a serious software boost. The new update, called version UVU2APC8, is now available on all of these devices on the T-Mobile network, and although it will arrive in due time through an Over The Air update, you can get it right away by going to Settings, scrolling down to About Phone, and then manually checking for updates.
So what’s new in this particular update? Well, a quick look at the changelog shows that they’ve ramped up the voice services quite a bit, and Samsung Pay has received some modifications to make it smoother than ever. A handful of miscellaneous system improvements make your overall experience better. Recording video was sometimes a little bit unstable due to some small bugs, but these have now been patched. Device performance has been optimized, and this results in a longer battery life. Furthermore, as part of the April security patch, your device is now more secure than ever.
All this is on top of across-the-board stability modifications and the usual bug fixes. Although nothing revolutionary is coming to your Galaxy S7 device as part of this update, it’s definitely one you’re going to want to grab soon. Your state-of-the-art piece of mobile tech is just one download from being leaner, meaner, and more secure.
