Samsung’s Galaxy S5 represented the last efforts of the Korean conglomerate’s attempt to push plastic flagships for premium prices. While the device didn’t quite live up to performance expectations, it would be followed by last year’s glass-glued Galaxy, and this year’s seventh heaven.

The S5 also stood out for being the first Samsung smartphone to ship with a superior screen situation…kind of. Released several months after the original Galaxy S5 hit Korea, the Galaxy S5 Broadband LTE-A handset featured the company’s first QHD Super AMOLED display and now, it’s moving on to Marshmallow

Samsung has just released Android 6.0.1. The update has build number G906KKTU1CPE1XXMB and is available on all three of South Korea’s major carriers, SK, KT, and LG U+.

Originally released to the Android market last October, Version 6, known by its dessert-themed moniker, Marshmallow, has numerous features to Google’s mobile OS baked in. One prime example is Now On Tap, which scans your current screen image for relevant information. Another, Android Doze, opts to better manage power usage during device downtime. Yet another is granular App Permissions which give you more control over what access your apps have to your phone and files.

The download can be initiated via OTA transfer, or by connecting the device to a computer with Samsung Smart Switch installed.
