IFA has come and gone, and with it we saw several great announcements from Samsung. Not only did the company unveil the Note 3 and the Galaxy Gear, but they even introduced the 2014 edition of the Note 10.1.

Clearly it is a very exciting time for fans of the Galaxy Note series, with both the Note 3 and Note 10.1 on the way – but that’s not all. As early as June, we’ve heard reports of a 12.2-inch Samsung Android tablet, which supposedly will be branded as part of the Note family. Today we get further proof that a 12.2-inch Samsung tablet is indeed in the works, as it has now received Bluetooth certification.

Listed as the Samsung SM-P901, the newly certified tablet is believed to be the Wi-Fi only version of Samsung’s 12.2-inch slate. What else do we know about it? Previous rumors suggest that the tablet could arrive as early as October, sporting a resolution of 2560 x 1600.

While other specs are unknown, we’d imagine that the tablet would at least match the new version of the Note 10.1 in terms of specs. That means the tablet could end up shipping with an octa-core CPU, 3GB RAM and the new-and-improved S-Pen.

At 12.2-inches, the new Samsung tablet certainly wouldn’t be for everyone, though it could certainly find niche use in the business world, art world and simply for those that really like big displays.
