Rumor: Leaked memo suggests Galaxy Pro tablets will arrive on Valentine’s Day

When Samsung took the wraps off the Galaxy TabPro and NotePro series at CES they didn’t officially reveal pricing or release dates, though they did say the tablets would be making their way out to store shelves in Q1 of this year. Now thanks to a new rumor, it looks like we are getting a more specific date: February 14th, Valentine’s Day.

The news of the impending launch of the Galaxy Pro series comes to us by way of RootzWiki. According to the site, they received a tip “from a little birdie” that claims the Pro tablets will hit the U.S. market in time for Valentine’s Day. Unfortunately the tipster didn’t reveal official U.S. pricing, though previous reports have given us an unofficial look at the European pricing. Of course, many times the actual costs in the U.S. end up differing quite a bit from the prices in Europe, but don’t be surprised if these tablets end up costing you $500 or more.

Aside from the word of an unnamed source speaking to RootzWiki, do we have any other proof that the Pro series is heading our way? Actually, yes we do. An internal memo has been making the rounds online that is likely intended for Samsung employees at Samsung Experience shops and Samsung field reps.

While the memo doesn’t actually mention the Pro series, it says that an exciting launch announcement is coming and it says that all requests that all further requests for time off from 2/14 – 2/16 will be declined. Combining this with the RootzWiki report, we’d say a launch of the Pro series makes sense, though it’s unclear if all three tablets will launch on that date or not.
