India has never been far from reaping the benefits of technological advancement in the world. One such technology unveiled in the past year is the use of 3G in Android tablets, and it’s Olive Telecom which has taken the opportunity to release the first 3G android tablet in India, called the Olive Pad VT100. This will be available in “Croma” stores all over in India very soon.

The Olive Pad has features like 3.5G HSUPA connectivity, Wi-fi, Bluetooth, a 3MP rear facing camera and a front facing webcam, GPS, an E-book reader (obviously), video options along with voice calling, and a mini USB port connection that I can only assume supports hosting devices like a keyboard or mouse. It has a 7 inch screen, at 800 x 480, which is capacitive.

Olive telecom is determined to proceed further with research and will most likely release much more advanced tablets in the near future. Olive telecom is expecting a successful introduction of the Olive Pad in central Europe, Eastern Europe and Russia.
