Nexus 7 goes up on sale in Korean Play Store in 16 and 32 GB flavors

Available ever since last September through third-party South Korean retailers, Asus and Google’s Nexus 7 seems to have kept its mojo all this time around those parts. Or else why would the tab be released via the official Play Store now?

It wouldn’t, so we’re pretty sure the N7 demand is still high. Which is not surprising, is it? We’re yet to spot a single tablet as solid, snappy and budget-friendly as Google’s ace in the hole. And chances are this will be the status quo three or six months from now as well.

If you’re therefore residing in Korea and have held out on the Nexus 7 until now because you didn’t want to deal with anyone else but Google, it’s finally time to let it rip. You have your choice of 16 or 32 GB models, but in either case you’ll get the Wi-Fi only N7. The 3G-enabled variant, as far as we know, is not up for grabs anywhere on the continent, at least not directly from the search giant.

The 7-incher is the first Nexus device to go on sale in the Korean Play Store, with the N4 and 10 on stand-by for now. LG’s phone is expected on SK Telecom and KT, two of the leading wireless carriers in the country, by the end of this month, while Sammy’s tablet might never land in Korea.

Meanwhile, you can say the N7 is at its peak from an availability standpoint, shipping via Play Stores in the US, UK, Spain, Germany, France, Japan, Australia, Canada and Korea in the Wi-Fi only variant and in US, France, Australia, Germany and Spain with cellular connectivity. It really is a Nexus world, isn’t it?
