Well, well, well! Earlier this month we saw the price of the Nextbit Robin drop 100 bucks to $299 on Amazon, but unfortunately this price was something that was only available to customers in the US and India. Now it seems like Nextbit has heard the anguished cries of those living in other parts of the world, forced to spend $399 on this unique cloud-based smartphone. They haveofficially dropped the price to $299 across the board.

We didn’t think it was fair that only fans in India and the US got to purchase Robin at a great price. So we’re lowering the price of Robin on Nextbit.com to $299 for everyone. As long as we ship there, you’ll get Robin at a great price. And to make the offer even sweeter, we made standard shipping free too. Did you already know that?

For those not in the know, the Nextbit Robin offers a very interesting approach that’s not really like anything else currently on the market. Rather than devote excessive hardware space to internal storage, the Robin offers a cloud-first modus operandi that lets you pick and choose which apps are active on your phone at a given time by storing their data remotely.

But just because the device leans on the 100GB of cloud storage allocated to each owner, that doesn’t mean the smartphone skimps that hard on memory. You’ll still get 32GB of onboard storage. Other specs include 3GB of RAM powering a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor and a pretty nice 13MP rear camera. It’s worth noting that the device just recently received a pretty substantial software update that kicked its performance up a healthy notch.
