LTE Transformer Pad TF300 soon to arrive in Germany and Austria

Boy, is ASUS hot right about now in the tablet market! Not only does the company manufacture the Google Nexus 7, but it also makes probably the best Android tablet out there (the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity), the first quad-core tablet ever (the ASUS Transformer Prime), as well as a slightly downgraded, inexpensive version of the Prime, (the ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T). As it turns out, the latter model, the TF300T, is bound to receive an upgrade in the form of LTE connectivity.

The LTE enabled version of the Transformer Pad TF300T is codenamed TF300TL, and will start reaching shelves as soon as the middle of this month in Germany and Austria. Priced at €529 ($651) without the keyboard dock, and €629 (about $774) with it, the TF300TL will be available in the same three colors as the non-LTE version: red, white and blue. The white version, however, will be available exclusively from O2.

Except for LTE support, all the other specs and features of the TF300TL remain consistent with the TF300T. In short, that’s a Tegra 3 chip, 1 GB of RAM and a 10.1-inch IPS LCD display running at a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution.

It is unclear when the Transformer Pad TF300 LTE will become available in other countries, but I’m guessing that the tablet will soon roll out across Europe before it reaches the North American continent (as this FCC filling would seem to prove).

What are your thoughts on the LTE version of the Transformer Pad TF300? Deal or no deal?
