honor V8 Max passes through TENAA with 6.6-inch QHD display

honor V8 Max TENAA

TENAA – China’s version of the FCC – is a great place for spotting new devices. The latest catch is what looks to be the honor V8 Max, sporting a massive 6.6-inch QHD display and 4,400 mAh battery. The mystery device is listed under the model number EDI-DL00 so there’s no guarantees on the name.

The device packs an octa-core Kirin 950 chipset clocked at 2.3 GHz with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of on-board storage coupled with microSD expansion. The 6.6-inch QHD display will deliver a pixel density of 445 pixels per inch. Despite the big display and large battery, the whole shebang only weighs 219 grams.

On the camera front, the V8 Max listed on TENAA has a 13 MP main shooter with a 8 MP camera up front. There’s a fingerprint sensor mounted on the back but at 178.8 mm tall, you’ll probably need long fingers just to reach it. Surprisingly, the V8 Max is only 7.2 mm thick – let’s just hope we don’t have a new bendgate on our hands when this thing hits shelves.

What do you think of the V8 Max? Is 6.6 inches too big for a phone?
