Here’s how the Galaxy Note 8 looks compared to the Note 2. Bonus, the S Pen

If leaks keep coming hard and fast, there won’t be much new stuff about the Galaxy Note 8 for Samsung to show off at MWC. Just yesterday, we were treated with a handful of images of the stylus-equipped device captured in the wild, and now we have two more, courtesy of French tech blog Frandroid.

The two images shed light on one aspect that the previous leaks haven’t touched – the S Pen stylus. At first sight, the Galaxy Note 8 S Pen seems similar to the stylus that comes on the Galaxy Note 10.1, although we can’t guarantee the two devices are identical.

In one of the two leaked images, we can see how the Note 8 looks side by side a Galaxy Note 2. There’s a 2.5-inch difference between the displays of the two devices.

According to the latest set of leaked specifications, the Galaxy Note 2 will feature an 8-inch LCD display of 1280 x 800 resolution, 2GB of RAM, a quad-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz, and 3G connectivity. It’s widely believed that the Galaxy Note 8 will come with Android 4.2 on board. Given Samsung’s recent focus on adding new features to TouchWiz UI (including the brand new Eye Pause and Eye Scroll), it’s possible that we’ll see an updated Premium Suite as well.

JK Shin, Samsung Mobile’s head honcho, has confirmed that the new 8-inch Note tablet will make an appearance at MWC, in late February.
