Just a few days ago we received official confirmation from Samsung that an 8-inch Android tablet is in the works and will be unveiled at MWC 2013, the Galaxy Note 8, and soon after that we got the first purported image of the device.

Now we have even better pictures of the tablet in action and, as you can see, the 8-inch tablet is, well, just a bigger Galaxy Note 2 model. On top of that we also have an idea of what specs and features it will have to offer. Here’s what you can expect from this new Android tablet:

  • 8-inch display with 1280 x 800 resolution
  • 1.6GHz quad-core processor
  • 2GB of RAM
  • 16/32GB storage
  • 5-megapixel camera
  • 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera
  • microSD support
  • Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n
  • A-GPS
  • 3G support
  • Bluetooth 4.0
  • USB 2.0
  • 4600mAh battery
  • Weight: 330g
  • Size: 211.3×136.3×7.95 mm
  • Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
  • S Pen support and apps

We have no idea when the Galaxy Note 8 will be released, but we should definitely get more details about it at MWC in about a month or so, not to mention that the Galaxy Note 8 leaks will continue to hit the web in the coming weeks.
