Galaxy Note 7-inch tablet spotted in benchmark, launch details not available yet

This isn’t the first time the GT-N5100 gets leaked, so we’re not surprised to hear it was spotted elsewhere already. The model number was seen a few weeks ago, suggesting that Samsung is indeed working on a 7-inch Galaxy Note tablet with a resolution of 1280 x 800.

Now Phandroid points us to a NenaMark 2 bench benchmark result, which reveals that the GT-N5100 sports a 1280 x 720 screen, 1.6GHz quad-core processor with Mali-400MP GPU. Moreover, the Galaxy Note 7 – that product name is not yet confirmed – will apparently run Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.

We have no idea when Samsung will unveil this new Galaxy Note family member, but considering that we’re getting closer and closer to next year’s CES and MWC, scheduled for January and February, respectively, we wouldn’t be surprised to see the device in the open in the very near future.

Launch details are not available yet, and we’re certainly interested to see how this tablet will be marketed. Is it going to be a Nexus 7, Kindle Fire and iPad mini killer? Is it going to offer phone features as well? What would you want to see in a 7-inch Galaxy Note tablet?
