Looking for a budget tablet that ships with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box? You may want to consider what Ematic has to offer. The latest and largest variant in the company’s tablet lineup is the recently introduced Ematic eGlide Pro X.

The Ematic eGlide Pro X comes with a 9.7-inch display and 4:3 aspect ratio, which should satisfy those who are looking beyond the more prevalent widescreen format Android tablet. Inside the slim casing, which has a minimalistic design, you’ll find a 1.2GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage and up to 32GB expandable storage with a microSD card. If you’re fan of the cloud, the eGlide Pro X also offers a 5GB cloud-based storage. Completing the list of specs is a front camera, WiFi a/b/g/n, three-axis gyroscope, HDMI output and HD video playback support.

Ematic has preloaded the eGlide Pro X with plenty of apps, which include an office suit and Kobo Reader. You won’t find Google Play Store inside though, as you’ll have to download all your apps via Ematic’s App Shop. Some specific enhancement to be found is the Ematic Digital Assistant & Navigator, which will help dictate your emails with its voice-to-text technology.

If you don’t mind the 800×480 resolution of the tablet, the Ematic eGlide Pro X can be yours for $219.99 and you should be able to spot one at Walmart and J&R.
