Granted, you’ll have to start a new line with Sprint to get the deal, even if you are already a Sprint customer. But other than that, there are pretty much no downsides to this.

How can it be so cheap? Glad you asked! This is a Sprint Flex Lease program which means you pay the flat monthly fee ($9) for the phone over the next 18 months. After 18 months, you have two choices:

1. Exchange the phone in working condition for a new phone and start a new lease (with new pricing).
2. Pay off the phone in one lump sum or spread the lump sum out over the next six months.

If you choose to pay off the phone after 18 months, it will cost you $228 outright or $38 per month for six months. After doing that, the phone is yours and you paid a total of $390.
