Considering the Gear S3 Frontier’s normal $349.99 price tag, you are saving $150.99. That is almost enough to buy a second Gear S3 Frontier for someone else, which would be very nice of you and land you on Santa’s nice list.
As a refresher, the Gear S3 Frontier features a large 46mm body case, a grooved rotating bezel for added tactile quality, a circular 1.3-inch OLED display with 360 x 360 resolution, Samsung’s Exynos 7270 processor, 768MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, and a 380mAh battery that provides plenty of endurance.
What is nice is that you can swap out the included silicone straps with standard 22mm straps. The Gear S3 Frontier also features IP68 certification for dust and water resistance, along with support for Samsung Pay.
The Gear S3 Frontier runs Samsung’s own Tizen OS, which is nicely optimized for the smartwatch but still does not have as many apps as Wear OS does. The software is flexible enough to let you connect the Gear S3 Frontier to Android and iOS smartphones, though the watch will work best with Samsung smartphones.
The Gear S3 Frontier is available for $199 for a limited time, so make sure to grab it if you are set on a Samsung smartwatch.
