Razer started the current gaming phone trend in 2017 with the launch of the original Razer Phone, and less than a year later the company came back with its successor, the Razer Phone 2. Now, you can get either the original or the new phone for some substantial discounts during the holiday shopping season.

The current Razer Phone 2 is available for $699.99 unlocked, which is a $100 discount from its normal $799.99 price tag. In addition, you can snap up the original Razer Phone for just $399.99 unlocked, a huge $300 discount from its normal $699.99 price.

Both phones are very powerful handsets for gaming, or for any other application. Both still have 8GB of RAM, 64GB of onboard storage and the same 5.72-inch IGZO LCD screen, with its 120hz refresh display that allows games that support it to run with smoother frame rates. Both phones also have two front-facing speakers and a big 4,000mAh battery. The biggest hardware difference between the two phones is that the Razer Phone 2 has the faster Snapdragon 845 processor, compared to the Snapdragon 835 chip on the original Razer Phone. The Razer Phone 2 also supports wireless charging, has a IP67 water and dust resistance rating, contains some photo hardware improvements, and the display is 50 percent brighter compared to the original phone.

Be aware that the discount on the Razer Phone 2 only applies at the moment to the Mirror Black version, as the Satin Black phone is currently sold out. Also, the $300 discount on the original Razer Phone does not apply to the Gold version of the handset.
