You might have noticed that here at Android Authority we’re currently running some of the finest phones we’ve seen in 2017 through a series of tests to determine the true top dog in our Best of Android series. Quality comes at a price, however, and the Pixel 2’s winning combination of an industry-leading camera suite and a pure Android experience isn’t cheap. Thankfully, if you’re thinking of treating yourself to Google’s latest this holiday season, you can now grab a great deal on the Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL directly from the Google Store.
Until just before midnight Pacific Time on December 15th (that’s tomorrow so you’ll need to act fast!), every purchase of a Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL will also come with $100 store credit and a free Google Home Mini smart speaker. At full price, the two promotions are worth just under $150, so you’re certainly getting your money’s worth.
You can save even more cash via Google’s trade-in program too. The store blurb says you can get back as much as $400 through the scheme, although the amount will depend on the condition of your old phone. In fact, it’s technically possible to bump that number up to $435 if you happen to have an unwanted iPhone 8 Plus lying around.
All you need to do to claim the Pixel 2 offer is head over to the Google Store (click the button below to head straight there), select either the 5-inch or 6-inch model, go through to checkout and complete your purchase. Buyers will then receive an email to confirm the store credit. If you don’t have a Google account already you’ll be prompted to set one up.
The Google Home Mini voucher will then be sent through within four weeks of purchase. The Home Mini offer is similar to the pre-order deal Google offered prior to the Pixel 2’s release, so if you missed out the first time now would be a great time to snatch the freebie.
The Pixel 2 offer joins a number of existing deals already live on the Google Store. These include discounts on the standard Google Home ($79 down from £129), Home Mini ($29 down from $49), and a free Home smart speaker with every purchase of Google’s new flagship Chromebook, the Pixelbook.
