In these trying times, retailers are feeling the pinch. The knock-on effect is some big price reductions to boost sales, and that includes the Samsung Galaxy S20 range of smartphones.
For example, Amazon is now offering the Galaxy S20 for $799.99 ($200 off). This is the 128GB model and it’s available in any of the colors. It comes factory unlocked and ready for any network.
The Galaxy S20 Plus is subject to the same discount, so it’s down from $1,199.99 to $999.99 on Amazon. This is our favorite of the S20 line, due to the crisp, bright display, top-notch performance, and all-day battery life.
You can get the Galaxy S20 Plus even cheaper on eBay, where it’s on offer for $809.99 ($390 off) from a reputable seller. There are caveats though, as this is the international variant of the phone.
The difference between this unlocked variant and the one you might pick up from your local US carrier is that this one touts the Exynos 990 processor instead of the Snapdragon 865. Unfortunately, that means this Galaxy S20 Plus won’t support 5G, and it will only work on GSM carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile. Even then, this handset won’t support every US band from compatible carriers. For a lot of you, that really won’t be a problem, but for some, that might be a deal-breaker.
