When Samsung launched the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, the price tag for the two variants of the device could have caused a few heart attacks. We had heard rumors that Sammy was going to release the Note 9 for the same price as it did the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, but instead, it increased the price by about $70, bringing the base 128GB model to $999 and the 512GB model to $1,249.
But it appears that Samsung understands that sticker shock for the Note 9 because everywhere you look there’s a deal that helps offset the bank-account-destroying price of the smartphone.
Amazon is running one such deal right now which gets you the following items:
- A Samsung Galaxy Note 9 in Ocean Blue or Lavender Purple
- A Samsung DeX Pad
- A Samsung Wireless Charger Duo
All three items will come to you at the price of the phone itself; so $999 for the 128GB/6GB version or $1,249 for the 512GB/8GB version.
The Samsung DeX Pad has a retail price of $100, while the Wireless Charger Duo goes for $120, which nets you a savings of $220. Not bad.
However, you’re still responsible for the Note 9’s whopping upfront cost, and the savings of $220 only really works if you feel like you would use the two items you’re getting for free.
That being said, the DeX Pad is a nifty little gadget that will allow you to use your Note 9 as a desktop replacement. And the Wireless Charger Duo — though wildly overpriced for what it does — will allow you to charge your new smartphone and your compatible smartwatch all at the same time.
