Today we are taking a look at a smart mug. Yes, it’s a mug. Like… the ones you drink out of. But it’s special in a few ways. For starters, this mug won’t only keep your drink at the same temperature; it will literally heat or cool liquids to any desired temperature. They call it the Yecup.
There are two ways to control your drink’s temperature. For starters, you can do it directly from the mug, but that’s only half the fun (and for when your phone dies). There’s also an app for both Android and iOS that will allow you to choose exactly what temperature you want your drink to get to. And a notification will be triggered once the desired temperature is reached.
It also manages to look very good with its all-metal, stainless steel design. And a notification light will let you know if your drink is hot, cold or if the device is charging. If that isn’t cool enough, this thing can also double as an external smartphone charger. Just plug in your phone and juice up.
We know you are worried about battery life. One more thing to charge, right? At least you won’t be running into too many problems here. This thing has a couple 5,000 mAh batteries, adding up to 10,000 mAh of power. That is a lot of juice! And you can charge up in 2.5 hours by using an AC adapter.
But here’s another cool thing – the Yecup can be charged wirelessly. Just place it on its platform and get on with your day! It will take 5 hours to charge if you go this route, but at least you won’t have to think about it.
What’s the damage, then? For starters, there are two sizes. One version fits 12 ounces, while the larger version fits 14 ounces. You can get yourself a Yecup for as low as $109, but that is an early bird offer on the Indiegogo page. There are still a few spots open, but not many. By the time you ready this they might all be gone.
Check out Indiegogo for all the details. Yes, it’s a bit of a pricey mug, but it is worth it if your drinks are an important part of the day. That covers plenty of us. And they are shipping on September 2016, so you won’t have to wait too long! Are you signing up?
