Build your own “Happiest Place on Earth” with Disney Magic Kingdoms

If you have fond memories of SimCity and Rollercoaster Tycoon, then your next big addiction might have just hit the Google Play Store. It’s called Disney Magic Kingdoms, and in it, you play the role of theme park designer, bringing fun and entertainment to your legions of park-goers.

Disney Magic Kingdoms was designed through a partnership between Disney and Gameloft. It’s a simplified kind of sim game, but that’s understandable considering it’s younger target demographic. However, what it lacks in complexity it makes up for in terms of story. Games like Rollercoaster Tycoon and SimCity have always struggled to come up with an overarching narrative to guide gameplay. However, this little Disney mobile game keeps the tension on and the stakes high, as Maleficent has cast an evil spell on the land, and it’s up to you to return happiness to the kingdom.

One thing you’re definitely going to want to do if you’re getting this game for a younger child is manage your settings on in-app purchases. This game has them by the truckload, and you could very easily end up with a $99+ bill on your account if your child’s hunger for pink gems is strong enough.
