In the kind of bargain that’s generally more associated with firework stands and t-shirt retailers, AT&T is offering you a second Samsung Galaxy S7 for free after you buy your first one. That’s one Galaxy S7 for each of your pockets.
If that sounds too good to be true… well, it’s kind of not, but there are some restrictions and asterisks to consider. The offer is available for both the S7 and the S7 Edge, but both of the phones must be purchased on AT&T next. Moreover, you have to be opening up a new line for that second phone. And, of course, the carrier isn’t just going to hand you the phone. That’s simply not how business is done among carriers. Rather, you’ll pay for the second device from your own pocket, and then AT&T will distribute $695 in bill credits to your account over the next 30 months. And the sales tax on that baby is all on you.

So all in all, this deal might not be a deal for everyone. However, if you were looking at joining up on AT&T Next anyway and were going to be needing two lines regardless, then hey: free phone for you! If not, then this might be a clear pass.
