Google has apparently included an Android screencast feature in the latest beta of its Chrome browser, which would let Android users connect their device to a computer mostly for development purposes.

In other words, the feature may be more useful to app developers and website designers interested in making sure their sites are compatible with various screen sizes than regular Android users, but it’s still worth mentioning it.

Developers and webmasters will be able to easily test their creations and immediately view the results on the display of a smartphone/tablet, so the feature is not something all Android users would be interested in.

Francois Beaufort has posted more details about enabling the feature on your Chrome browser (above) and demoed it in a short video (below), as you can see, the feature is not directly available to all Chrome browser users.

While these two features are different and have distinct purposes, it certainly looks like both Google and developers are more and more interested in connecting mobile devices to bigger screens.
