The Motorola Xyboard might not be the most popular tablet line around, but that hasn’t stopped Motorola from keeping the device supported and up to date. Today Android 4.0.4 comes to both the 10.1-inch and 8.2-inch WiFi models as an over-the-air update. This might not be Jelly Bean, but it’s still a welcome upgrade for the tablet family.
The new update to Ice Cream Sandwich enhances the Xyboard experience and certainly helps keep the tablet relevant with new changes like Face Unlock, a smoother browser experience, an improved launcher and the overall stability improvements introduced in ICS. The Xyboard might be aging a little but it still has very capable specs, even if they are far from bleeding-edge. For those that need a refresher, this includes an IPS display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM. Other goodies include a 1.3MP front camera and a 5MP rear camera.
